The Zuckermaus story

'Zuckermaus' is an Austrian term of endearment meaning honey or sweetie, two key ingredients at the heart of our Viennese baking.

In Vienna the coffee and cake culture is an essential part of the daily routine. Every afternoon would be time well spent trying out new recipes, indulging in our favourite slice, and then trying just another little bit. ‘Nur kosten’ meaning 'there is no way I could have an entire slice, I'm just trying a little bit.' But in the end, the ‘Kosten’ would go as far as leaving nothing behind - and so another cake would be added to our ever-growing recipe book.

We're a family run business who believe life is better when you have a cake in the oven and fresh bread on the table.
